We're a Vancouver-based technology company founded in 2019. We build AI systems, custom software, and cloud infrastructure for companies where what we build actually matters to the business.
In 2019, a small team of engineers started Hypertekx out of a co-working space in Vancouver. Our first client was a local logistics startup that needed a better way to track shipments. We built it, it worked, and they referred us to two more companies the following quarter.
By 2021, we had shipped our first production AI system — a fraud detection model for a regional credit union that identified $940K in fraud in its first six months. That single result led to more inbound work than any marketing campaign could have. We stayed focused on doing the work right.
Today, Hypertekx has 38 engineers, designers, and strategists working across AI, software, blockchain, cloud, and marketing. We've delivered 85+ projects for clients in 14 countries — from early-stage startups to established enterprises. We're still based in Vancouver, and we still think the best way to grow a technology company is to make clients so happy they tell their friends.
Our focus is on projects where quality actually matters — where a bug in production costs money, where the AI system needs to work on real data, and where "good enough" isn't.
Not a poster on the wall — these are the things we bring up in code review, client calls, and hiring decisions.
We favour working software over lengthy planning cycles. Ideas get validated against real users, not theoretical stakeholders.
Every technical decision starts with: what does this actually deliver for the client? We don't build for the sake of building.
If a timeline is slipping, we tell you early — not on the day it was due. You see the real status, always.
Security gets considered in the architecture phase, not bolted on at launch. It costs less and works better that way.
We write code that the next engineer can read and modify. Good test coverage and readable architecture are defaults, not extras.
We've worked with clients across 14 countries. That exposure shapes how we think about products — edge cases, time zones, and regulatory requirements included.
